Sources and review
We prefer courts, regulators, government services and recognised public legal-assistance organisations for factual background. A source link is not an endorsement of Lawyers Near You. Material should state its jurisdiction and limitations where those details matter, and should be reviewed when the linked source or underlying process changes.
Independence and placement
A lawyer’s or law firm’s inclusion does not amount to an editorial recommendation. If paid or featured placement is used, it should be labelled where it appears. Commercial status must not change factual correction standards or allow unsupported claims on a law firm page.
Corrections
We distinguish factual corrections from requests to replace neutral lawyer information with advertising. Material errors should be reviewed against reliable evidence and corrected without requiring a law firm to purchase a service.
